Responding To Our Utility Client

The Problem:
A 4,000 HP gas recirculation fan was experiencing unusual and unexplained vibration problems which caused numerous unscheduled shutdowns.

Immediate Response:
Our engineering personnel were sent to the site to analyze the problem and to obtain field data and dimensions

Our Recommendations:
Full Plan Implementation Ordered by Client
The Process Equipment team immediately ordered all long lead time materials and prepared shop drawings. Our field crews began dismantling the old fan and started on the new structural support system. While our plant built a new housing, rotor, inlet dampers, vaned duct work and expansion joints, foundations were being poured. In eight weeks, everything was ready for our crews to install during the plant's scheduled shutdown. Our field crew then assisted in start up.

Finished in Weeks Not Months:
A very happy utility client was back on line sooner than he ever thought possible.
