Fly Ash Drag Chain Conveyors
Process Barron designs and build a variety of custom designed drag conveyors for fly ash applications. Our typical conveyor design incorporates a single strand chain made of high strength drop forged CrMn steel. The forged links are heat treated to a surface hardness of 59/64 HRC to a depth of 0.7mm.

The conveyor designs allow horizontal, vertical, and combinations of both styles for high capacity conveying arrangements. We can achieve 70+ degrees of incline with almost 100% conveying efficiency. The conveyor casings are designed for air/dust tight operation with replaceable wear liners for erosion protection.

Additional conveyor design features include split hardened sprocket teeth with split hubs for easy replacement, and unique shear pin roller chain drive sprockets for overload protection. All conveyors have special quick opening, tight shut-off, access doors of stainless steel construction at each end of the conveyor. All shafts have engineered, machined adjustable shaft seals at all casing penetrations for air & dust tight operation.
Bottom Ash Submerged Drag Chain Conveyors
Many solid fuel boilers and furnaces require submerged drag chain conveyor systems to provide an air seal on the combustion process while allowing ash and other solid materials to be disposed from the process. Process Barron provides and installs custom designed submerged drag chain systems for these solid fuel bottom ash applications.

Ash Storage Silos
Process Barron has designed ash storage silos complete with structural support steel and access platforms from 300 cubic feet to 17,500 cubic feet in storage capacity. All designs are professionally engineered to meet the customers’ requirements for performance, structural, and accessibility.
