Dampers
A damper performs one of the toughest jobs in your process – while it may be idle for months, a damper must perform flawlessly when necessary. Process Barron’s quality in system engineering, solution design and equipment manufacturing can be the difference in operating smoothly or having an unexpected and costly forced outage. Our services include turnkey damper fabrication and on-site installation, scheduled field maintenance and repair, and emergency on-site equipment repair.
Process Barron is a leader in air system damper design and manufacturing, with all of our air and material handling products proudly made in the U.S. at our facilities. Our skilled craftsmen manufacture and assemble a full inventory of dampers and related equipment like fan inlets, outlets, isolation valves and actuators (electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, and manual gear) in-house for all industrial and utility applications. Our extensive inventory of dampers includes:
A variety of custom designed dampers for many applications are available, built according to customer specifications of pressure, temperature, airflow regulation, and other critical operational requirements. Technical assistance is provided through our sales and engineering department for support in generating specifications for procurement of specialized dampers. Additionally, we possess the in-house technical expertise to manufacture dampers highly corrosive and elevated temperature environments.
Field crews are also available for complete installation and start-up of equipment, on-site inspections and a detailed evaluation of your current damper problems and needs.
Expansion Joints
Process Barron designs, manufactures, assembles and splices all fabric and metal expansion joints and frames in-house, for a wide variety of applications including ID and FD fans, ductwork, stacks, baghouses, precipitators, and scrubbers. Technical experts are available for field inspection and evaluation services, complete field installation, temporary joint repair and splicing, and turn-key installation. Types of expansion joints currently available include:
Metal expansion joints can be designed to for corrosive environments or elevated temperature service, and accommodate axial and lateral (bi-directional) movements in flue gas and process duct systems. Non-metal expansion joints offer multi-plane movements in a short, face-to-face dimension, and can accommodate axial, lateral, torsional, and angular movements concurrently and require very smal spring rates for movements.
All Process Barron frame welding procedures comply with AWS D1.1 or the equivalent. All expansion joints comply with Fluid Sealing Association (FSA) guidlines. The fabrication of expansion joints frames use a wide variety of steels including A36, A588, stainless steels and other exotic alloys. We stock a wide variety of fabrics and insulation for standard and emergency deliveries, for low temperature applications ranging up to 1400F, and can accommodate molded fabric requests.
