A History of Success and Expansion
Beginning with industrial fan repair and fabrication as Barron Industries in 1971, Process Equipment came into existence 10 years later under the direction of several formal Barron founders to offer impeller fabrication and engineering design services. Process Equipment expanded its offering to include fan repair 1986, opening the door to a strong demand for on-site field work and time-sensitive technical services (equipment repair, unexpected outages, and maintenance shutdowns).
In 1988, a licensing agreement with Raumaster Oy, a leading European materials handling company, enabled Process Equipment to further expand its service and production capabilities in the materials handling industry.
In 1995, Process Equipment acquired Weigel Engineering, an engineering firm dedicated to repairing accessory parts to boilers, including pressure part upgrades, boiler air system upgrade, air heaters, and boiler performance enhancements.
In May of 2002, Process Equipment acquired Barron Industries, a household name in the new fan industry, to become Process Equipment | Barron Industries - expanding its marketshare and integrated solution strategy of fan and system design, manufacturing, installation, and repair.
To further expand its specialized service offerings, in 2004 Process Equipment acquired PE Flo-Tech Inc., a designer of dampers, expansion joints, and air handling accessory parts.
Most recently, in 2007, Southern Field was acquired, adding additional field installation and technical service resources, and expanding Process Equipment's boiler service capabilities.
Today, Process Equipment | Barron Industries is stronger than ever, manufacturing, installing, repairing, and servicing air, gas, and materials handling systems around the globe as Process Barron.
